ACT CEO presents at the 5th Annual Bett Asia Summit in Malaysia

Dr Sanjib Chakraborty, CEO, Asian College of Teachers, the pioneer in teacher training education in Asia, was invited to attend the 2-day Leadership Summit by Bett (British Educational Training and Technology) Asia which was held at the Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 12 - 13 March, 2019. The Leadership Summit was presided by YB Dr Maszlee bin Malik, Minister of Education – Malaysia, and brought together over 2,000 attendees comprising of policy makers, leaders and experts in the education and technology sectors across the world.
Dr Sanjib Chakraborty attended the celebrated conference that showcased the best practice, celebrated innovation and addressed key opportunities to improve education systems and further student outcomes across the region. The key theme of the Summit was 'Building a change culture to deliver 21st century learning' and the agenda was tailored for senior education leaders, educators and innovators, and put together through months of in-depth research. Dr Chakraborty made a presentation on “How teachers should involve IT as a part of the every subject they teach to prepare 2030 workforce”.
Bett Asia explores the cutting edge technologies in global classrooms and institutions, layered against the real needs of teachers and leaders. The summit has put Asian College of Teachers on a global platform, strengthening its position in Asia and establishing the fact that ACT has made a mark in the teacher training sector. ACT’s efforts have been recognised which is to provide quality teacher training to all aspiring/ experienced teachers across the globe and prepare them with adequate knowledge and skills to deliver 21st century learning. The 2-day event themed “Building a change culture to deliver 21st century learning” matched perfectly with ACT’s idea of preparing global educators. The morning keynotes were delivered by high-level speakers and was followed by afternoon breakout streams of workshops, demonstrations, discussions and presentations. This was indeed, another feather in the cap of ACT.
