Asia Symposium 2020 Mumbai – an event worth participating

To celebrate the milestones in one’s career, putting in efforts and hard work and finally to get an acknowledgement of the development and transformation as an educator to teach and touch lives, ACT conducted its Annual Convocation ceremony during Asia Symposium 2020 on "Holistic Learning, Effective Lesson Planning and Authentic Assessment" on 22nd February, 2020 in Mumbai with much pomp and grandeur. The last leg of the convocation ceremony in India witnessed a packed house full of beaming faces and a cheerful crowd who eagerly participated in the discussions initiated by our speakers for the day. The Symposium cum Convocation ceremony witnessed speakers from all spheres of the educational field who enriched the participants with their knowledge and exposure in their respective areas of work.
There were many notable speakers for the day and it started with Ms. Kuhurina Basu, Academic Head and Lead Trainer, Asian College of Teachers who discussed in details “How to develop a growth mindset” with the participants present at the symposium; Dr Rajini Krishnaswamy, Director, Education for the Dosti group, Mumbai gave a detailed presentation on a very pertinent topic – “Effective Assessment”, which was well received by all present there. Dr Anita Jain, MBBS, MRCGP, Child Health Consultant and Founder, First to Aid again spoke on an important topic – “Child Safety and First Aid for Teachers” and shared her thoughts and experiences in her field with our alumni to help them prevent, recognize and respond to common medical emergencies in children, and to nurture a safe and healthy childhood. Dr Margaret Davitt Maughan, one of our keynote speakers shared her valuable thoughts and knowledge on “Effective Lesson Planning and Authentic Assessment”, thereby making it a great learning experience for all present in the symposium.
