Asian College of Teachers (ACT) realigns its organizational structure

Leaders with insight and self-assurance steer the organization towards the right direction. For ACT, Dr Sanjib Chakraborty has been at the helm who has created a culture of integrity and an environment that fosters learning and collaboration.
With Dr Sanjib Chakraborty stepping down from the position of Dean and CEO of Asian College of Teachers, it is time for transition to the next phase of operations. But he will continue in an advisory role to develop capabilities to maximize organizational success and his inspirational leadership will remain the guiding force for ACT.
Meanwhile, we are honoured to welcome Dr Kuldeep Agarwal as Associate Dean, Asian College of Teachers who has been a Director (Academic), NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling), MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development), Govt. of India, Director (Academic & Open School), Board of School Education Haryana, Govt. of Haryana and also Deputy Director (Open School), Board of School Education Haryana, Govt. of Haryana, India. Currently, he is the President, SPACE (India) {Society for the Perpetuation of Art, Culture & Education}, Delhi, India and Member, Board of Studies, University School of Education, GGSIP University, Dwarka, Delhi, India. He holds a B.A. (Hons.) English & M.A.(English) from St. Stephen's College, Delhi University and B.Ed., M.Ed., M.Phil. & Ph.D. from Dept. of Education {CIE}, Delhi University, Delhi, India.
Ms. Kuhurina Basu, who is taking over as Head, Board of Academics, is a Master of Economics from Jadavpur University, Kolkata and Master of Human Development from SNDT University, Mumbai. She has an extensive teaching experience of 30 years and ten years of administrative experience in Mumbai, India and London, UK. She has been a Tutor - ESOL (English to Speakers of Other Languages) – East London Business College, London and Master Trainer – Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers. She also worked as a Teacher – English and Psychology in High Schools in London and a Mentor for DTLLS (Diploma in Lifelong Learning Sector) students at London School of Management Education, London. She has also mentored students for Model United Nations at Harvard University in Boston. She has also been associated with various esteemed institutions like K.J. Somaiya College of Engineering and Information Technology and Avalon Heights International School in Mumbai.
Ms. Sutapa Ghatak takes over the charge for Asian College of Teachers (ACT) from Dr Sanjib Chakraborty and will continue as Executive Director. A B.Tech from Rajabazar Science College with a solid experience with ACT for over 14 years, she has served all divisions from Student Support to Academic Management and managing regions to operations management. She has been fulfilling her responsibilities with dedication and sincerity and has achieved great results for the company with her effective leadership. She has always plunged whole-heartedly into the daily affairs contributing to the success of ACT.
