ACT Founder and Chairman delivers speech at the International Icon Awards 2022 as Guest of Honour

Asian College of Teachers (ACT) Founder and Chairman, Dr Sanjib Chakraborty used his masterful speaking skills to grab the attention of a global audience at the International Icon Awards 2022 where he spoke on "Flexible Lifelong Learning: Towards Peace and Sustainable Development" as a Guest of Honour. "Flexible Lifelong Learning: Towards Peace and Sustainable Development” had been the theme of IIA 2022. The event was held and conducted virtually in February, 2022 with eminent personalities from the field of education attending it from across the globe.
Dr Sanjib Chakraborty, ACT Founder & Chairman and Guest of Honour for the event (IIA 2022) provided all with a deep insight into the conference theme - ‘Flexible Lifelong Learning: Towards Peace and Sustainable Development’ which he emphasized, is high on the agenda for every nation and can be achieved by flexible life-long learning and educating people from varied groups. Dr Chakraborty also stressed on the pandemic part, stating that Covid-19 has had a destructive effect on our lives and disrupted our social fabric in many possible ways, thus, it is time to rethink and reset our goals. It is necessary we look at the situation and keep harping on education as the key driving source for sustainable development.
Taking cue from the essence of the theme, he also explained that flexible lifelong learning can be defined as a way to improve the living standards and quality of people’s lives now and in the coming days. So, it is us who must take the initiative to save nature by using our resources in a more efficient way. Self-declared goal at the UNESCO global action program on education defines sustainable development as the progress based on equality of opportunity which enables people to live in peace in the sustainable ecosystem. Dr Chakraborty strongly believes that education is and will be a lifesaver in such an instance, and the flexible life-long learning can become the solution to addressing sustainability.
International Icon Awards 2022 turned out to be a mega event where international educational leaders shared their thoughts and the conference turned out to be a great opportunity for global networking with like minded professionals.
