ACT Kolkata Centre indulged in 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' Celebration
17th August 2022
Asian College of Teachers indulged in the spirit of patriotism with its pre-celebration of India's 75th year anniversary of independence at the Kolkata centre on 12th August, 2022 with much passion. This year's celebration was a bit special, commemorating the 76th year of independence and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements which have been named as the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' by Hon'ble Prime Minister of India.
The celebration began with patriotic songs, thus paying tribute to our freedom fighters who laid down their lives with honour for the nation. ACT members enthusiastically participated in other interesting activities based on India’s independence. The national anthem by ACT members marked the end of the event. The event kept the spirits high, and going with the flow, ACT members wore tri-colour themed attire, integrating saffron, white and green, the colours depicting the Indian flag. It was a day to remind ourselves of our glorious past, sacrifices made and unity in diversity.
ACT members participated whole-heartedly and the entire centre was lively with songs and fun-filled activities and were immensely enjoyed by all. The day ended on a yummy note with scrumptious snacks as no celebration is complete without some lip-smacking delicacy.
