Asian College of Teachers Hosts Insightful Workshop for Royal University of Bhutan Faculty and Staff in Bangkok

Asian College of Teachers (ACT) successfully conducted an insightful workshop for the faculty and academic staff of Sherubtse College, Royal University of Bhutan, from 14th to 18th January 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand. This intensive workshop was designed to equip educators and academic staff with advanced skills to meet the demands of 21st-century education.
The workshop was led and facilitated by Prof. Dr. Sanjib Chakraborty, an L&D expert and a distinguished educator and trainer with a PhD in Management Science from the University of Hertfordshire, UK and a wealth of credentials, including a Master’s in Education and Business Administration, and certifications in Learning & Development from esteemed institutions in the UK and Singapore.
The workshop was tailored to address the specific needs of both faculty and staff members emphasizing 21st-century teaching and learning skills, education management, visionary leadership, digital tools, creativity, and innovation. The staff curriculum emphasized communication in the digital age, collaboration, teamwork, education leadership, and innovative practices.
A highlight of the workshop was a field trip to a university or college, providing participants with a practical understanding of how educational concepts are applied in real-world settings.
Around 40 faculty members and academic staff of Royal University of Bhutan participating, the workshop underscored ACT’s commitment to empowering educators and administrative teams with the tools they need to foster innovation and excellence in institutions. The workshop also strengthened the partnership between ACT and Sherubtse College, highlighting the importance of professional development in driving academic success.
