Pre Independence Day Celebration at ACT

India's 72nd Independence Day was celebrated with gusto at Asian College of Teachers' Kolkata and Bangalore offices a day in advance, keeping the theme of independence and patriotism in mind. It was a day to remind ourselves that in spite of our diversity, we are still united. The day started off with ACT members matching their attire combining the tri-colour integrating saffron, white and green, the colours depicting Indian flag. Both Kolkata and Bangalore offices were decorated with tri-colour balloons and streamers which lent a distinctive patriotic flavour to the decor.

The celebration flagged off with mesmerizing performances by the in-class students from ongoing ITD and TEFL batches at ACT Kolkata. It was followed by a quiz and antakshari round by ACT members. There was a whole-hearted participation by the members and the entire office was abuzz with fun-filled activities which were immensely enjoyed by all. Later the ACT members indulged in a delicious spread of refreshments in the evening thus marking the end of the day. The celebration of Independence Day not only provided ACT members with the opportunity to revisit Indian history and rejoice in the culture but also gave an opportunity to connect with each other and soak in the spirit of nationalism.
