The experience overall was a good one, the entire course went smoothly and the assignment evaluation system and feedback were also prompt and useful. The course gives a very in depth explanation of the fundamentals of English teaching, as well as the different learning needs of the various age groups and language levels. The course also outlines various different teaching methods and their suitability for each language level. Most importantly, the course shows in depth the importance of a good lesson plan, and gives examples on how to prepare one. The assignments are also very relevant - preparing a lesson plan as this covers all aspects of the course and is actually our main objective at the end of the day so I find it very useful. The evaluator's feedback on the assignments were also very helpful as I needed reworking on some of my assignments and the feedback given helped me improve my assignments enough to score a high score at the end. The course also goes through many activities that can be adopted into our ESL classes, and their suitability according to age and level which I find very useful in helping to plan for the lesson. The tutors also respond very quickly to my inquiries and emails whenever required, allowing the course to proceed very smoothly. The assignment evaluations and feedback were also done very promptly and the fact that access is given for the next phase before the evaluation is completed helps us move on quickly with no delays, making it very quick and efficient. The way the course is broken into several phases is also good as I feel the phases are just the right amount of information to be picked up in one go and the chunking was done correctly. The subjects covered in the phases are all relevant and helpful towards my final objective. Overall, I've had a good experience with this course.

I really enjoyed doing this course. The self-paced aspect helped me to spread my reading as per my convenience. I learned a lot of different jargons and approaches in Business English. As an English Literature teacher, I have always avoided the language-teaching component, for I have always considered it dull and tedious because of the grammar. But this course has helped me gain a new perspective, and I am now eager to take up the language-teaching component and make it as interactive as possible in my classrooms.

I did have some troubles at first but I gradually got the hold of it. I guess going to classes would have been a more surreal experience, I kind of regret that part. But thoroughly loved learning at a brisk pace, it was enlightening.
