When I first started applying for teaching jobs, I found one common requirement across all platforms, TESOL/TEFL CERTIFICATION REQUIRED. Hence I decided to go ahead and take up this course. I was a bit unsure at first but after completion of this course, I am glad I did it. I am already working as an English Trainer and this course has further helped me to better my lesson plans and teaching skills. It has also given me a lot of confidence and techniques to deal with different students and their different needs.

ACT has helped me understand various aspects of teaching English, how to go about doing activities, how to help students from a non native English background to learn the language, enhance grammar skill, make learning fun for the students. With this "120 hours TEFL certificate course", I took up "formal studying" of something after decades in my life. Add to that the new method of learning - online, self paced, e-learning - and you have a whole new experience that gets thrilling and fulfilling. I learned alot of new stuff not just from the course content and videos but also by completing the assignments in the course. I feel gratitude for all at ACT for fashioning this course so well in terms of its efficiency and ease of learning. Despite the distance learning mode of the course, it did not lack in practicality. We were given three webinars; one on Microteaching and Lesson planning, the other was a guidance on placement and the third was a Q&A session. These webinars weighed more on the scale of quality than quantity which is kudos to the entire team. Much gratitude to Ma'am Anamika, Ma'am Shoumi, Ma'am Payal, Ma'am Jiya, Ma'am Annie Joseph, Shounak Sir and Amrita and the entire team of ACT. I so enjoyed this course, that I took up another one from the college, which I'm doing right now - International Teaching Diploma.

My experience was great and worthwhile. I enrolled in this course to advance my knowledge in the field of teaching English as I am a non-native teaching English in Thailand. I started this course in the middle of our online learning set-up in school which gave me an ample amount of time to do my reading and finish my homework as well. It was this time that I was able to recall and apply what I learned as well way back when I was in the university. I was able to make lesson plans doing this course which would help me especially if I pursue going back to being the main teacher in a classroom. I was able to reflect as well being a teacher working with kids from different countries. This course made me realize it takes more than just a brain to be a teacher. You have to put your heart in it as well as it needs passion and a lot of patience. It takes a well-rounded person to be a successful teacher. It needs respect, mutual respect between teacher and the students, to be able to make the classroom a safe place for the students to make learning fun.

It was wonderful studying at ACT, lessons and techniques were very appropriate and very well explained. My coordinator has played a major role in my learning. For those who would like to explore their career ACT is a great platform as the lesson plans are self explanatory. For me as a teacher i got a lot of insights by learning each technique and understanding them, videos were very helpful for a student like me whose working and studying simultaneously.
