It was a wonderful journey this 1.5 months. A true eye opener to what a beautiful adventure teaching can be. It taught me a lot and reassured me that I was taking the right path along with what I am currently working in (HR domain). Ruchi ma'am and Aditi ma'am have been great facilitators and mostly brilliant human beings. Their guidance and ability to foresee any issues faced by people in class is beyond words. My experience with ACT and this course have been quite good. Through this course, I was able to learn a lot about teaching. I learnt a lot of effective methods which can be used to not only teach English but can also be used to learn a new language. Apart from the methodology, I learnt about the challenges faced by non-native speakers of English, classroom management, online teaching, and much more. In this course, I also met other students, whose experience, knowledge, and mindset helped me a lot.

According to me, not only responsible teaching is required but also responsible learning plays a vital role. Nothing is critical or easy, it solely depends on one's perspective. I embarked on the TEFL/TESOL journey a bit of apprehension, but our facilitators Aditi Ghosh and Ruchi Tiwary were so approachable that my apprehensions disappeared within the first hr of the class. Both of them were so excellent in explaining the various methodologies. They introduced us to how the English language can be taken in multiple ways depending on the whether its Kids or adults, and make it a fun process for the learner irrespective of the age. Phonology was taken in such a way that I enjoyed and understood the topic better than when I had learnt it, from experienced professors at a Graduate or at the Post Graduate level. Music could be incorporated in a classroom was shown in such an effective way that am surely going to use it as when I get a chance to become a facilitator myself. They really made the course an easy process and answered all our queries in each of the sessions with patience and made sure that our doubts were cleared before they went ahead, irrespective of whether it was the first class or the last or whether we had surpassed the class timings. The 120 hr TEFL/TESOL is well planned by ACT as it does touch the key points that are needed when the trainee becomes the facilitator.
