When I began this journey with such a huge batch of trainees in hopes of completing my 120 hour TEFL/TESOL training, little did I anticipate it to be this interactive. I'm yet to complete my Bachelor's in Chemistry, have a month or two left to it. But, my passion for language has always been there, an ecstatic chemistry which I lacked with Chemistry (pun intended). The mere existence of so many languages and forms of expressions in this world fascinates me ever so greatly than all those atoms and quarks could ever. I ventured into this training course knowing very little about this field but at the same time felt strangely drawn towards it. I risked my own savings and family resentment and dived head first. For a clueless 20-year old that is a humongous step forward. Nonetheless, I still had my apprehensions knowing so less about this sector. Thankfully, I got to meet such lovely trainers who explained and trained us beginners with a tireless pretty smile on their face. They ensured that we were comfortable and actively urged us and looked forward towards total participation. Our creative differences were respected and resolved in beautiful ways and that made me let go of my remaining inhibitions and I could see myself anxiously waiting for Tuesdays and Thursdays to arrive, waited with bated breath for the clock to strike 10 and the session to begin. I had an inexplicably amazing time with the trainers, counsellor and coordinator and made friends with some amazing people from all over the country and even outside of it. The pandemic brought one good thing in my life and that is the TEFL family.
