ACT in Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi and Chennai celebrate the “Festival of Lights” in Style

Diwali is celebrated across the length and breadth of the nation mainly to mark the returning of Lord Rama to Ayodhya after 14 years in exile and it was celebrated by lighting clay diyas. This marks the celebration of good over evil with much fanfare and enthusiasm. ACT Mumbai left no stones unturned to soak in the spirits of the ‘festival of lights’ and arranged for a beautiful celebration at ACT Mumbai centre replete with graceful dance performances and making colourful rangolis.

ACT Mumbai conducts seminar on creating mindful classroom environment

Asian College of Teachers conducted a seminar in Mumbai on 19th October, 2019 on ‘Creating a Mindful Classroom Environment’ for the trainees of the ongoing ITD and ECCE batches. The seminar was conducted by Ms. Suparna Ghosh, who is a well-known clinical psychologist as well as a member of the ACT Academic Board. The 15 participants who attended the seminar, gained an in-depth knowledge regarding the various techniques used in creating a mindful classroom setting conducive to learning.

ACT celebrates Bijoya Sammilani 2019 at ACT Kolkata Office

With the immersion of Goddess Durga along with her children on Bijoya Dashami, all over the world Bengalis come together with people from other communities to celebrate the victory of Devi Durga over buffalo demon, Mahishasura signifying the victory of good over evil. Also known as Bijoya Sammilani, this celebration often takes place after Bijoya Dashami and involves eating sumptuous food and Bijoya sweets, with the spirit of festivity still lingering in the air. The day brings the official ending of the pujo celebration for the year.
