ACT celebrates Bijoya Sammilani 2019 at ACT Kolkata Office
With the immersion of Goddess Durga along with her children on Bijoya Dashami, all over the world Bengalis come together with people from other communities to celebrate the victory of Devi Durga over buffalo demon, Mahishasura signifying the victory of good over evil. Also known as Bijoya Sammilani, this celebration often takes place after Bijoya Dashami and involves eating sumptuous food and Bijoya sweets, with the spirit of festivity still lingering in the air. The day brings the official ending of the pujo celebration for the year.

ACT celebrates Teachers Day with great panache
Enthusiasm and celebration marked Teachers’ Day celebrations at Asian College of Teachers where students and internal members left no stone unturned to showcase their talent and express their love and respect for their teachers. ACT Kolkata office soaked in the spirit of the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan which saw equal ardour from students of ongoing ITD batches as well as internal members.

ACT conducts its maiden MCE examination in Mumbai
Asian College of Teachers has successfully conducted its first Microsoft Certified Educator (MCE) exam on 31st August 2019 at ACT Mumbai Branch. The exam is conducted online for a duration of one hour. Microsoft Certified Educator (MCE) certification is a great add-on for modern educators based in any part of the globe as it equips them with technology literacy competencies needed to provide a great learning experience for today’s learners.

National Trainers Meet – an ACT initiative brings together all regional trainers under one umbrella
The National Trainers’ Meet, 2019 conducted by Asian College of Teachers (ACT) from 27th July – 29th July, 2019 in Kolkata has been truly engaging and highly interactive for all the ACT teacher trainers and has been a great professional development format for those who are in the role of preparing global educators - who will look beyond teaching and more on reflecting and developing life skills of the future generations and make them informed and active members of the society. The focus of the Meet was to identify and address the underlying causes of instructional and delivery challenges while imparting training to future educators.
