The enchanting melodies of Rabindra Sangeet reverberated through the corridors of Asian College of Teachers on 9th May, 2023, as employees came together to celebrate the 162nd birth anniversary of the iconic poet, writer, and philosopher, Gurudeb Rabindranath Tagore. The premises of ACT Kolkata office were transformed into a hub of joy and creativity as staff members paid tribute to the Nobel laureate in a vibrant and engaging manner.

We are delighted to share that Dr Janat Blackmon has joined Asian College of Teachers as Director of Academics. Dr Janat has already been associated with Asian College of Teachers for quite long as an Associate Director and has been conducting webinars regularly.

Asian College of Teachers (ACT) celebrated its 16-year journey with a 2-day Annual General Meeting at the luxurious Park Prime Hotel in Kolkata on the 22nd and 23rd of April, 2023. ACT members from regional centres also came together to celebrate the year that went by and to set goals for the current year. The Annual General Meeting (AGM) was filled with panel discussions, presentations, performances, and delicious food.

Asian College of Teachers (ACT) and Vivero International School, Bangalore came together to conduct successful campus recruitment drive for their International Teaching Diploma batch (ITD) on 17th March, 2023. Among the attendees, majority of the students got placed for the position of pre-primary teacher in Bangalore and Hyderabad locations. The event was aimed at providing students with the opportunity to kick-start their careers in teaching and secure promising positions in a renowned institution.

Asian College of Teachers (ACT) conducted a YouTube live session on ‘Integrating STEM into 21st Century Teaching’ on 27th March, 2023. The guest speaker at the session was Captain Shaji Sebastian, Founder & Mentor, International STEM Research, who explained the ways in which experts in the field of education are highlighting the importance of incorporating STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education and 21st century learning skills in classrooms to prepare students for future work, which is expected to be highly automated.
